ABOUT THE EVENT
Join Richard Marver (Contour Consulting), Ed Barrett-Lennard (DPIRD), Ian Pullbrook (Greenoil Nursery), and Russell Speed (DPIRD) as we dive into the challenges of tackling increasing salinity in our landscapes, and look at the challenges and opportunities this presents Topics for discussion include:
• An overview of the current and predicted future trends for salinity in the catchment and the Liebe Group region
• Landscape Hydrology and its connection with salinity
• Sodic soils and transient salinity
• Salinity mitigation management practices including:
- Earthworks to control surface water management
- Strategic revegetation
- Drainage earthworks for ground water management
